Import Tank Management Data into the Environmental Module

Purpose

This article provides the data field specifications for importing tank management records into the Safety Management Suite Environmental Module. It details required fields, maximum character lengths, accepted values, and conditional requirements for both Above Ground Storage Tanks (AST) and Underground Storage Tanks (UST).

Steps to Follow

1. Review the data field table below to understand required fields, character limits, and accepted values.
2. Prepare the import file ensuring all required fields are populated and formatted correctly.
3. Pay special attention to conditional requirements (marked with asterisks) that depend on Yes/No answers to related fields.
4. For AST-specific fields, only populate them when Tank Type = AST. For UST-specific fields, only populate them when Tank Type = UST.
5. Import the file through the Environmental Module import feature.
