Purpose
This article explains how to import employee information in bulk using the Leave Manager Import Wizard. Users download a template, enter employee data, save it as a tab-delimited text file, map columns to Leave Manager fields, and import the records.
When to Use This Article
- When an administrator needs to bulk import employee records into Leave Manager.
- When setting up Leave Manager for the first time with existing employee data.
- When updating multiple employee records at once via import.
Steps to Follow

Click the Employees tab at the top, then click Import Employees.

Follow the on-screen instructions to prepare your data.

Download the import template.

Enter your employee data into the template as completely as possible. Each employee record needs a unique identifier (Employee ID).

Save as a tab-delimited text file. (See How To Create a Tab Delimited Text File for FMLA Manager for more information.)

Click Continue, then select the file to import and click Continue again.

Map Column Headers: Associate your column headings with the corresponding Leave Manager headings using the dropdowns. Select "DO NOT IMPORT" to skip a heading.

Confirm the settings and mappings. Click Continue to proceed or Back to adjust.

Map Fields to Leave Manager Selects: Map your data to standardized selections using the dropdowns. Select "DO NOT IMPORT" to skip. Click Continue.

Verify the data is correct, then click Import Now. Records will be added, updated, or skipped.

You will receive an email when the import is complete. Check the Employee Import Status Log to track progress.
