Steps to Follow

Access Mobile Messaging
The feature can be found in two places:
-

Via Settings: Go to Settings, then select Messages under Company Settings.
>
View Messages
When there are unread messages, a red dot appears on the Messages icon in the left menu.
Red numbers appear next to each tab (Inbox, Unread, Deleted) indicating counts. Click on the tabs to view messages.
- Inbox -- Shows all messages, read or unread. New messages are marked with "New" next to the Subject.
- Unread -- Shows messages that have not been read.
- Deleted -- Shows messages deleted from your inbox.
-
Only Show My Messages -- Toggle on to view only messages sent to you.
Click on the Subject of a message to open the details.
To reply, click Reply, type your response, and click Send.
Send New Messages
-
Click Compose New.
-
Search for and select the driver(s). Use the magnifying glass icon to select multiple drivers. Fill in the Subject and Message fields (maximum 500 characters). Click Send.
Delete Messages
Message threads with no activity for 14 days are automatically moved to the Deleted folder. Messages in the Deleted folder are permanently purged after 180 days. To restore a deleted message, reply to it.
To manually delete: select the message(s) using the checkbox, then click Delete Messages or hover and click the trash can icon. Confirm the deletion.

Utilizing Mobile Messaging Video
What Not to Do / Common Pitfalls
- Do not exceed the 500-character limit when composing messages -- the message will not send if the limit is exceeded.
- Do not assume deleting a message permanently removes it -- deleted messages remain in the Deleted folder for 180 days before being purged.
- Do not forget that role changes (enabling/disabling Mobile Messaging) only take effect the next time the user logs in.
Escalation Path
If messages are not being delivered to drivers or the Mobile Messaging option does not appear in User Roles, escalate to the ELD support team.
