Purpose
Random Draws helps fleets conduct compliant DOT drug and alcohol testing selections by automatically generating random driver draws, tracking testing progress, and maintaining required compliance records.

The Random Draws tile on the Quick Overview displays the total number of draws conducted across all pools for the current year. Click the tile to open the Random Draws drawer and view the full draw history.

Random Draws Drawer
The Random Draws drawer provides a complete history of every draw conducted for the selected year, along with the status of testing completion for each one.

Draw Status
Each draw displays one of 3 statuses reflecting the current state of test completion:
- Incomplete (red) — One or more tests from this draw are still open and pending results. Action is needed to complete or document the outstanding tests.
- Complete (green) — All tests from this draw have been finished. This includes tests that were marked Complete with results and tests that were closed with a documented reason (such as a refusal or termination). No further action is needed.
- Shortage (gold) — All tests are marked Complete, but the required count for this draw was not fully met. A warning triangle icon appears next to the test type that came up short. Hovering over the triangle displays a tooltip showing how many tests the draw was short by (e.g., 1 Short). To address a shortage, make up the difference in your next scheduled draw or conduct a Supplemental draw before year-end.
*Note: Refusals count as Completed tests and do not contribute to a shortage.
