Purpose
This article explains how to manage video files as Training Assets. You'll learn how to upload video files, monitor upload progress, and access options to play, download, or copy uploaded videos. The article also covers the Save safeguard, which helps protect your work while video uploads are in progress.
Steps to Follow
Upload a Video
- To start, click Upload Document either from the Training Asset Library or a Classroom Program's Training Assets section.
- Select Videos as the Category, choose the video file from your device by clicking + Upload File, select Video for the Asset Type, enter a Title for the Video, and click Submit.
Note: Supported video formats include MP4, MOV, MKV, and WMV, with a maximum file size of 100 MB.
Monitor Upload Progress
During the upload process, a progress banner displays the file name, current upload status, and percentage complete. If needed, you can select Cancel Upload to stop the upload.
Once the upload is complete, or if an issue occurs, a confirmation banner displays the outcome and provides status information.
Play, Download, Copy or Delete a Video
From the Asset row, you can manage uploaded videos using the available actions to Copy, Play, Download, or Delete the Asset.
Selecting Play opens the video in an inline player, allowing you to preview the content without leaving the page.
Save Safeguard During Upload
To help prevent incomplete uploads or accidental data loss, the Save option is unavailable while a video is uploading. Once the upload successfully completes, or any upload errors are resolved, the Save option becomes available again.
