Add a Non-Testing Alcohol Violation in Encompass

Purpose

This article explains how to record a Non-Testing Alcohol Violation in an employee's Alcohol & Drug file in Encompass.

Steps to Follow

1. Navigate to the employee's Alcohol & Drug file by going to Drivers > Roster, clicking the driver's name, and selecting the Alcohol & Drug tab. Alternatively, go to Drivers > Alcohol & Drug and click the driver's name.

2. Scroll down to the Non-Testing Alcohol Violations box and click Add New.

   

3. Enter the details of the violation and click Save.

   

What Not to Do / Common Pitfalls

• Do not confuse Non-Testing Alcohol Violations with test result violations — non-testing violations are for incidents observed outside of a formal test.
• Do not skip entering violation details — incomplete records may not meet compliance requirements.
